The Gaia Geoscience group has developed a novel approach to the treatment of hydrocarbon waste via accidental release or infrastructure decommissioning.
We have developed four key products (patent pending) to address various environmental contamination scenarios:
Hydrocracker™ Terrestrial - Land-based treatment which addresses storage and production facilities.
Hydrocracker™ Marine - Our maritime solution to accidental release of hydrocarbon at sea, applicable for vessels and bunker centres.
Hydrocracker™ SF - A unique and unparalleled treatment process which address petroleum processing sludge.
Hydrocracker™ MCF - A commercial version designed as a degreaser to reduce oil build up in sewage systems.
Mechanical means of removing contaminated medium are capex and labour intensive, normally not resolving the issue, but rather relocating the contaminated medium to a dirty site or storage facility.
Our novel approach using Hydrocracker™ Terrestrial is done in situ, resulting in minimal operational downtime with contamination breakdown of 98% over a period of seven weeks with complete hydrocarbon breakdown shortly thereafter. The process is low cost, has minimal impact on operations, and mitigates environmental hazards.
We are proud to share that our field trials have been successful where 50% TPH reduction occurs two weeks after Hydrocracker™ treatment. 98% of hydrocarbon contamination has been treated within a period of 7 weeks during controlled testing with completion elimination thereafter.
The process is 100% biological, eco friendly, biodegradable, and cost effective. We are now preparing for large scale production for distribution throughout Asia, Middle East, Europe, and North America.
What was once a petroleum or crude contaminated area can be converted into fertile and safe farmland.
In marine environments, Hydrocracker™ can be deployed via ship, platform, or aircraft, covering large areas where spills may be present. The novel solution used is non toxic, non flammable, and safe for personnel handling the product.
Hydrocracker™ SF is our solution to the treatment of petroleum processing byproducts as well as crude petroleum release during the production process. The product is biodegradable, works in situ, and addresses both heavy metals and naturally occurring radioactive materials. The goal is to address previous years of stored waste and to provide a cost effective and ethical solution to removing hydrocarbon waste from the environment in a ecologically friendly manner. Hydrocracker™ SF is the only biological system which can address both hydrocarbon contamination and heavy metals/NORMs.
Many of the existing products involved flammable, toxic, or otherwise hazardous components. Hydrocracker™ and its line of products are safe for personnel and the environment while offering a non disruptive means of treating hydrocarbon waste or accidental release without affecting operations.
In short, the product is cost effective, and environmentally friendly.
