Heavy Metals

We have received a request to provide information on how Hydrocracker™ is able to work with the presence of heavy metals in crude and production by-products. While Hydrocracker™ microbes consume aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, the presence of lead, cadmium, and mercury is toxic to our microbes. In fact, these metals are toxic to nearly all forms of life.

The long form of the method is too long to describe here, but we can assure you that it is a qualified method, and no harm will come to our precious bugs if deployed to a sludge site or decommissioned dumping ground.

In short form, we simply isolate and process the heavy metals in the treatment area through another eco-friendly in situ process.

This brings up another point. How are heavy metals normally eliminated during waste treatment? We remember leaded fuels being a major issue in the 80s. There is a cause for concern, not for what's being done now or what will be done in the near future, but what was done prior to the enforcement of ethical waste treatment practices.

What if we were to tell you that, in conjunction with our metals solution, Hydrocracker™ is able to treat a sludge lake or leaking containment zone? Dirty sites and landfills? Can NORMs be treated in conjunction with hydrocarbons?

Yes, it can, and by ensuring that all areas are thoroughly tested by qualified personnel, we can address heavy metal contamination in addition to hydrocarbon contamination.

We know that the energy market is changing and new technologies are being developed as we speak. The key benefit of our product is price. Surprisingly enough, and considering the quality of treatment (99.6%), it is tailored for an industry plagued by cost reduction and downsizing. Making our product affordable, without sacrificing quality, was a key step in the R&D process.

Both hydrocarbon and heavy metal contamination is addressed via Hydrocracker™. No hazardous transportation or incineration methods are used. It's safe, on site, and addresses the problem for a price that promotes environmental and financial sustainability.

Our development process focuses on Safety, Quality, Health, Environment, and Security. We deliver a quality solution to mitigate environmental issues while providing a safer solution to those working in contamination sites.
